President's Message January 2019
January 2019

Dear Rotarians & Friends,

Happy New Year to all as we are already at the halfway point of Rotary Year 114. This holiday season as well as most of the year we enjoy welcoming many visiting Rotarians and guests from abroad to our club meetings and events. We have completed some excellent community service projects so far this year and look forward to developing new initiatives throughout the next six months. The highlight of January is our welcoming of District Governor Lt. Gen. Kanit Jamjuntra on his annual special visit to our club on Friday, 11 January so please mark your calendars for this special event.

The Rotary International monthly theme for January is Vocational Service which focuses on adhering to and promoting the highest ethical standards in all occupations, recognizing the value of all useful occupations, and contributing one’s vocational talents to meeting the needs of the community. Rotary's commitment to Service above Self is channeled through Five Avenues of Service: Club, Vocational, Community, International, and Youth.

Please browse our Club web site for regular updates on our events and activities, and you are welcome to join us in our fellowship meetings and service activities. I look forward to seeing you there to Be the Inspiration.

Yours in Rotary,
Brian Anderson
President 2018-2019
