Please be invited to the "New Years Day for Kids" gathering to bring cheer and goodwill to local underpriviaged children and their families. The Sang foundation has organised the day with co-sponsorship from our club, supplying food and drink for 300 people. Dear Rotarians Please accept my apologies for this tardy notification. Our first fellowship event of 2023 will be held at the highly rated Daddy Deli on Hin Lek Fai, who were very generous with golf sponsorship, so please show your appreciation by attending this event. The buffet menu will consist of: Salad bar, Thai spicy salad, Penang Curry, slow cooked Pork loin, beef lasagna, chicken breast, home made bread. For the drinkers there will be house wine and local beer. The price will be 500THB without alcohol or 800 THB including free flow for 2 hours. The first meeting of 2023 welcomes Cell Dilon and John Laroche who will talk about the new Junior Asian Golf Academy J.A.G.A that will start in September 2023 based at Black Mountain Golf Club. Ths new exciting educational project will be a Tier 1 North American online High Scholl learning program including a full golf program with International coach. This weeks meeting we welcome back Dr Andrea Degan from Zurich in Switzerland. Dr Degen who works in innovation management has been working on a project with the Bamboo School in Kanchanburi, which is a school primarily for children from the Koren speaking communities, however they have now been accepting Thai Children from broken homes. Dr Mo from BeWell Clinic has previously spoke about this school where he spent much of his early education, during Covid-19 via a zoom meeting. Dr Degen with our very own Patrick Meiers are visiting the school this weekend, and will update our club at this meeting. There are a number of Rotary Clubs involved including the RC of Eastern Seabord in Pattaya. Buffet lunch 550 Thai Baht. Dress code smart casual.

PP Napa has arranged with the new school Director for our club to formally present these books to the the Anuban Hua Hin Nongkhon school on Monday 20th February at 10:00hrs. During the Visit by the District Governor La-Or Chinda in November she requested that our club become a Sister Club with the Rotary Club of Ploi Ratchaburi. On Wednesday 15th February we have been invited to attend a social evening to comemorate the signing of the agreement at the Navela Hotel in Ratchaburi 17:30hrs to 19:30hrs. If we have sufficient numbers we can arrange transport for the evening. Dress code club jackets and ties, or similar smart dress. |

After a gap of nearly three years, the Rotaractors of Stamford International University will resume their All for one, One for All project. The Rotaractor's will visit the Ban Nong Phai School which is near the Majestic Creek Golf Club on the 24th February 2023. The Rotaractor's will undertake recreation activities in the morning, follwed by lunch, which will be paid for by our club. In the afternoon, work will take place to renovate agricultural plots and plant vegetables. See poster for program of events for the day.

The country is very diverse geographically compared to many of the Middle East Countires, and has a number of world heritage sites. Our March Fellowship Evening will be at the Pizza Garden on Soi 94, 2 hours free flow from 6pm to 8pm on Tuesday 7th March, 800 THB to include beer and wine or 500 THB for soft drinks.
Our Host Mario and his staff will be serving the following excellent cuisine:
18:00 pm, Margarita Pizza will be served, 18:20 pm, Pasta alla Bolognese will be served, at the same time spicy seafood pasta will be available on request. 18:40 pm, the second Pizza, Salami Milanese, will be served. 19:00 pm, the second Pasta alle Vongole will be served. 19:20 Dessert will be available on request, Tiramisu or Lava Cake.
Half liter house red and white wine jugs and beer will be served at the table as needed or requested. Last call 20:00 hrs.
Dress code is smart casual and please note that numbers are limited to 45 people, therefore I would urge you to book early to avoid disappointment.

After considerable planning and a long wait the Pilot course of the Water Safety initiative will take place at Greenway Hua Hin Resort. Following the training of 10 new instructors in Phuket recently, 55 young students will now attend a pilot course from the Bo Fai school in soi 6. A big thanks to Rotarian Patrick Franssen who is allowing the use of his pool for the training to take place. Although the course starts on Sunday the Mayor of Hua Hin, and presentation of certificates to the instructors will take place on Monday 13th. The training takes place between 09:00hrs and 10:00hrs, I would suggest that you arrive around 08:30. Dress code smart Rotary Attire.

In a new joint initiative with Bangkok Hospital, the Spine clinic and the Rotary Club of Royal Hua Hin, we will hold a free medical assessment for the pupils and family at the Anuban Hua Hin Nongkhon School on Saturday and Sunday 25th and 26th of March. The Spine Clinic team will offer advice on upper and lower back pains, and other muscular skeletal problems, whilst Dr Punsak and Dr Danai from Bangkok hospital will undertake medical assessments for both children and adults. The Rotary Club of Royal Hua Hin will provide live food stations to those attending. The session will run from 09:00hrs to 12:00hrs and 13:00hrs to 16:00hrs on both days. Volunteers from our club will be asked to help with cooking, serving food, organising meet and greet for the medical teams and generally help out. Once registered please let P Phil know when you would like to attend whether all day, both days or individaul sessions so we can plan our support and attendance. This is a new initiative and a leap into the unknown for all parties. I am sure it will be a fun couple of days, and provide much needed support for our local community. Dress codes if you have the latest Rotary Golf shirt or other Rotary shirt.

This weeks meeting welcomes Dr Kate from the spine Clinic. Dr. Kate became a Licensed Acupuncturist in 2013, working in Los Angeles and San Diego areas. She received extensive apprentice- based training in Sports and Orthopedic acupuncture. She has been treating various Muscle-Skeleton disorders, Sports injuries, and Chronic pain using combination techniques such as Electro-Acupuncture, Motor point, Trigger Point, Distal Needling, and Rehab Exercises. After living in California for 14 years, she moved back to Thailand in 2019. Dr. Kate continues working in Hua Hin City, Thailand, at Spine Clinic, where she treats common health problems along with more complex ones like menopause, menstrual pain and allergy symptoms. In addition we will hand over two cheques from Lizzy Ginsel (MCC) and David Troxell who have kindly donated money to this project. This week sees a change from the programmed weekly meeting. Following the signing of a sister club agreement with the Rotary Club of Ploi Ratchaburi, they are now supporting our project to sponsor a local student from Pranburi, who has exceptional academic scores and wishes to become a doctor. He has been accepted into the Chiang Mai Medical school, one of the top 4 medical facilities in Thailand. Our club has agreed to sponsor this student for a minimum of three years at a cost of 60,000 Thai Baht per year, however the RC Ploi Ratchaburi has agreed to contribute 30,000 Thai Baht in year 1. This years Rotary District 3330 training returns to southern Thailand and the city of Trang. The venue will be the Hotel Thumrin Thana Hotel, a venue that our members have visted before. This is an event for current board members, incoming board members and aspiriing board members, all training is in English. Our club will pay the costs of the hotel for two nights, for those that want to make a road trip, there are plenty of other places to visit in the area, of course at your own expense. On the Sunday we can celebrate the Installation of PE Helmut, as 101 club Presidents will be installed. Please respond as soon as possible as we need to resereve rooms as soon as possible. Dress code club jackets, Saturday evening something bright and floral.

Following a change in program this weeks meeting welcomes back Jos Muitjjens from the Thai Administration Biusiness college. In january our club sponsored one vocational student to fly to Finland as part of the Erasmus Plus European program. Six countries are taking part in this program, and this is the first time that Thailand has been accepted into this scheme. Jos will bring some of the students to talk about their experiences, and look at the future of vocational training her in Thailand. Buffet lunch 550 Thai Baht. Dress code smart casual. |

Dear Rotarians The June Fellowship evening will be at the excellent Pizza Garden on Soi 94. Bruschetta to start will be served at 6:10pm, followed by Spagetti Bolognese at 6:30pm. Then Pizza Pepperoni and Pizza Garden (vegaterian) at 6:50pm. At 7:15pm Fettucine alle Vongole and Spagetti Seafood will follow. Finally, homemade Tiramisu will be offered to those who are not full up at 7:40pm. At 7:50pm it will be last orders and there will also be a complimentary Limoncello offered. The cost is 800 THB with free flow beer and wine, 500 THB with non-alcoholic drinks. This week P Phil Lawrence will speak about the Rotary International Youth Exchange Program. This program gives young people an opportunity to live, study and learn the culture of another country, Thailand and especially Rotary District 3330 is a key contributor to this program. Many students who have taken part in this program have stated that being part of this program dramatically changed their perspective on life.
