Please join us for the handover of the football equipment that we sponsored for three schools in Pran Buri at 5:30 pm on Friday, 8 September. The equipment is stored at Nong Hoi School and is used together by the students of the schools; Nong Hoi School, Wang Phong School and Wang Yao School. The equipment includes items such as slalom poles, sprinting markers, jump fences, goal nets and uniforms for 45 children ages 10 to 14 years old. The original handover date of 25 August was postponed due to heavy rain. Meeting place: Nong Hoi School on Petchkasem Road opposite 7-11 just south of Khao Tao. |

Please join us to commemorate the annual World Polio Day and Rotary International’s continuous effort to eradicate the polio virus around the world. RI District 3330’s Area 16 has organized this event together inviting Rotarians from RC Royal Hua Hin, RC Hua Hin, RC Prachuap Khirikhan and RC Pran Buri as well as the general public. The collective aim is to raise awareness on wildlife conservation and environmental preservation which includes the release of adult Blue Swimming crabs and 10,000 crab larvae followed by a beach-wide cleaning activity. Up to 200 attendees are expected to attend with support from the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources and the Hua Hin Municipality. Wear your END POLIO NOW shirt or another Rotary shirt and suitable beachwear, and snacks and drinking water will be provided. Organized by the Dutch Society of Thailand, NVTHC (Nederlandse Verenigning Thailand in Hua Hin & Cha-am), this special day for intercultural children includes a guest appearance by Sinterklaas giving gifts to local children ages 2 – 12 years old with food, music, games and other activities. Parrotdise has a children's playground with animals and a restaurant. Parents are asked to provide gifts for their children that they bring with them, which they will receive from Sinterklaas in the morning. Sinterklaas will depart for the E-Jan School for children with disabilities in the Black Mountain area in the afternoon to surprise them with Dutch delicacies and gifts. Alan was one of our long-term members and the Chair of the Rotary District 3330 Thailand-Australia Inter Country Service Committee for the last six years. He was also our club’s Director of Inter Club Relations actively working to develop Rotary Thailand’s Public Image around the world. He spent a lot of his time visiting Rotary clubs in Australia and Europe and was effective in building intercountry relationships while attracting participants for our joint community service projects for the underprivileged in Thailand. The purpose of this event is to help raise funds for the Rotaract Club and the University Student Council to carry out their community service activities for the local community, underprivileged students and disadvantaged people as they have been doing for many years. On 2-3 February, the Rotaract Club is going to renovate the ceiling and classroom wall of Baan Pa Maak Border Patrol Police School in Pala-U sub-district as they do not have adequate government funding, and also help to build the check-dam on the river to increase the water supply for the Karen tribe village.
