Please be invited to our club lunch meeting for a presentation on the “Micro Loans Program” for the disadvantaged by our frequent visitors Roger and Carol Ward of the Rotary Club of Aireborough in the United Kingdom.

The Rotary Club of Aireborough is using micro loans to support individuals and small businesses in Southeast Asia who would not normally qualify for bank loans. Recent borrowers have included a seamstress, shrimp and fish farmers and a tree nursery.

The menu wil be, Bread & Butter, Bruschettta, Mixed Salad with dressing, Sliced Pork Tenderloin in a white wine & mushroom sauce, Fettucine pasta, Arrabiata Sauce, Fishcakes with sweet chilli sauce, Grilled Spicy Pork Neck Salad, Chiken Panaeng Curry, Fish with 3 Flavoured Sauce, Mango & Sticky Rice, Mixed Fruit, Assorted Cheese & crackers.

Parking is limited to about 20 cars, therefore please car share where possible. If the car park is full you can park in Market Village and use the pedestrian footbridge to get there.

Please join us for our next Water Safety & Drowning Prevention training on 12-14 March at the Greenway Hua Hin Resort. Over 60 children ages 12 and 13 from the Hua Hin Municipality Demonstration School are going to be trained over three days by 23 certified instructors from the Marine Police, Hua Hin Municipality and Bangkok Hospital Hua Hin.

Please be invited to attend the annual RID 3330 District Conference to learn about the latest of what's happening in Rotary and our district, and meet our old and new friends over two days in Surat Thani province. The club awards ceremony is going to take place in the afternoon of 29 March, and the theme of the Governor’s Gala Dinner Party on 30 March is “City Pop” with a lot of Rotary camaraderie and fun entertainment.

The conference is conducted in Thai with English translators broadcasting via ZOOM so bring your earphones to connect to your smart phones. Only Rotarians are allowed to attend the conference to ensure enough seating. Please register through our club’s website by 27 February if you plan to attend because we will inform the District on 28 February.

Cost:

THB 2,300 for Rotarians paid by our club’s administration account (includes the Governor’s Gala Dinner on 30 March).

Rotarians’ spouses and partners are invited to join the Governor’s Gala Dinner at THB 1,000 per person.

Attendees need to cover their own lodging and transportation costs.

Five salads: potato, tuna, saba fish, fusilli pesto and mixed green salad. Cold cuts: prosciutto, salami napoli, mortadella and chorizo. Cheeses: edam, vintage cheddar, gorgonzola and emmental and freshly-baked bread. Hot dishes: pad kee mao with pork, stir-fried chicken with black pepper, fried sweet & sour fish and steamed rice. Our club received official charter from Rotary International on 12 April 2010 but we are going to celebrate this important milestone on our 2 April Fellowship Night. We hope to see you there!

Our May event will be at the Elder Blossom resort (formerly Greenway resort, please check map cordinates), with catering provided by the excellent Andreannas Bakery.

This resort is owned by Rotarian Patrick, who very kindly let us use all his facilities for free with the childrens water safety classes, so please support this event to show our thanks.

The menu will include Pork Lasagne, Chilli Con Carne,  Seabass in White Sauce, Sausage Rolls, Jasmine Rice, Chicken Massaman, Spicy Seafood Gass Noodle Salad, Larb Moo, Mixed Salad, Potato Salad and for desert, Seasonal Fruits and Chocolate Brownies.

Please join us for our monthly Fellowship Night at the Pizza Garden Restaurant for a wonderful selection of authentic pizzas and pastas on 4th June.  Please arrive around 6pm as the first course will be served promptly.

Owner, Mario, has put together a delicious 7 course tasting menu, starting with Pizza Margarita, followed by Spaghetti Bolognase. (the seating arrangements will be tables of 8 people). 

These will be followed by Pizza Petra (Gorgonzola, Spicy Salami, Salami Milano, Tomato Sauce and Mozzorella) and Pizza Classica (Ham, Mushrooms, Tomato Sauce and Mozzorella).

Next courses are Seafood Spaghetti in Tomato Sauce and Penne Boscaiola (Italian Sausage, Shitake Mushrooms in a light sauce).

Finally there will be Homemade Tiramisu for those who have any room left!

Please be invited to attend the handover ceremony of the E-Jan School for children with learning disabilities to the Ministry of Education on 8 June. The Rotary Club of Royal Hua Hin helped to fund the construction of the school two years ago and donated personalized wheelchairs for the children last year.

The event is free of charge and is going to take place at the school in two sessions with the following schedule:

Please join us for our monthly Fellowship Night on 2 July at the excellent Chon Thai Cuisine, the new Rooftop Restaurant at the new Sunshine International Hotel, 7th Floor, Hin Lek Fai. Please note this is next to Sunshine International Residence with a different access Soi, please look ar Chon Thai Cuisine on Google Maps. It is not Foxes Restaurant!

The extensive buffet menu will incude: Appertizers of Crispy Fried Chicken marinaded with Fish Sauce, Vegetarian Samosas, Deep Fried Fish Cakes and New England Clam Chouder.  There will also be a salad bar with Italian and French dressings, Penne with Pesto Sauce Salad and Potato, Pumpkin and Sausage Salad.
