Please be invited to our service project handover ceremony for the new anesthesia technology at Hua Hin Hospital on Saturday, 27 December at 2:00 pm. As another one of our joint-projects for humanitarian service involving multiple Rotary clubs and like-minded organizations, the much-needed equipment costing THB 2,550,000 is dedicated to support the growing demand of lifesaving medical treatment at the Intervention Neuroradiology, Cardiac Catheterization and Thrombectomy Unit of the hospital. Many Rotary Governors and members from other clubs have confirmed their attendance for the handover and a special “End of Year” fellowship gathering has been organized the same day from 6:00-8:30 pm at Rest Detail Hotel, which requires registration in advance as a separate event. An email invitation will be sent to all members to register for the fellowship party. For many years, our club has conducted high-impact service projects for the hospital and last year we purchased a new, fully equipped Rotary ambulance to provide state-of-the-art emergency rescue service for our stakeholders. We also donated 13 manikins last month on 27 November to support the hospital’s CPR training programs in the wider community. We look forward to continuing our relationship with the hospital to help support the health and well-being of our community. Be sure to register your attendance in advance separately for the handover ceremony and the fellowship party, and we hope to see you there to UNITE FOR GOOD in the spirit of Rotary! Dress code: Smart casual and long trousers with your club jacket and/or favorite Rotary shirt NB: Parking is very limited at the hospital and you may want to park on Petchkasem Road and walk up the driveway to the front door. |

Please join us for another excursion to the Bueng Nakhon branch of Ban Nern Phayom School to support their National Children’s Day activities and hand over our donation of necessary items for the children on 8 January. The school educates 38 students with four teachers from kindergarten to grade 6 and we have conducted many service projects there over the last two years. It is the same school where we installed the dual-lithium battery and DC/AC inverter that provides sustainable and uninterrupted electricity generated by the solar photo-voltaic array. Located in the mountainous region of Bueng Nakhon, the school and the local villagers are not connected to the national electricity grid but a limited amount of solar power is in use. The school is located about a 75-minute drive from the Hua Hin city center on paved roads and we might organize van transport depending on the number of registered attendees. Dress code: Smart casual, Rotary shirt Be sure to register your attendance in advance and we look forward to seeing you there as we UNITE FOR GOOD. |
