Service Project Handover - Ultrasound Equipment
Apr 17, 2026 9:00 AM - Apr 18, 2026 6:00 PM

Please be invited to the joint humanitarian service project handover for the donation of new ultrasound equipment for Singburi Hospital on 18 April. Our sponsor club, the Rotary Club of Bangkok South organized this Global Grant project through The Rotary Foundation to provide the much-needed medical equipment, and we are a contributing sponsor through our District Designated Fund, with the Rotary Club of Copenhagen as the international sponsor.

Singburi Hospital is located about two hours north of Bangkok and we will leave Hua Hin in the morning on 17 April and meet with our fellow Rotarians for fellowship in the evening. The equipment handover will take place at the hospital at 10:00 am on 18 April. We will book hotel accommodation and transportation so if you have interest to attend, please register your name and contact President Brian for further details.

Sport is a powerful means by which to engage all children in activities for personal and social development and to help them achieve their full potential. From an early age, sport provides children – including the most marginalized – with the opportunity to develop their physical abilities and health, to socialize, to build leadership skills, to foster lifelong learning and to learn as well as to have fun.

Empowering children with basic education and literacy is vital for their personal development leading to greater opportunities for gainful employment as well as poverty reduction and health improvement.

“Children’s books are a powerful tool enhancing the brain development of a young child, especially their all-important language skills. Stories not only bring happiness and enjoyment, but also add new words to a child’s vocabulary, help them develop and practice their comprehension, and lay the foundation for them to understand the concept of reading.” (UNICEF Thailand, 2024)
