Our Past Presidents Paul and Brian attended the annual Paul Harris Fellow Dinner at the Grand Hyatt Erawan Hotel in Bangkok on 29 February. Organized every year by the Rotary Club of Bangkok South, our sponsor club, nearly 60 jovial Rotarians and esteemed guests attended the gala event to recognize the founder of Rotary International, Mr. Paul Harris, and to regroup and share information about club activities and community service projects.
The keynote speaker of the evening was our Past District Governor Dr. Sanguan Kunaporn, who gave a most inspirational albeit humorous presentation about his life in Rotary and his career as one of the world’s leading plastic surgeons in Thailand’s medical tourism industry. Dr. Sanguan, a charter member of the Rotary Club of Tongkah in Phuket, is a dedicated and highly-respected Rotarian who lives by the ideals of Service Above Self and incorporates the Rotary Four-Way Test in his daily life.
