President's Message December 2019

December 2019

Fellow Rotarians,

December is a Rotary Disease Prevention and Treatment month.

Fighting diseases is one of Rotary’s missions. Here’s our 6 areas of focus:

Disease prevention and treatment takes on many forms. Rotary sets an example for others to follow, it’s global challenges.

Sustainability is a critical part of Disease Prevention- and a big priority for Rotary.

Rotary’s top priority is the Eradiation of Polio, but our members take on far greater responsibilities to fight disease.

I know that many of Rotary clubs around the word have been doing many projects to prevent diseases, last year alone our club, Rotary Club of Royal Hua Hin has donated medical equipment to the local hospital, Hua Hin general hospital, such as a Nerve Stimulator machine, a Flexible Fiber Optic Bronchoscope, ten computers to keep patients records and prior to that we worked together with our mother’s club RCHH bringing a mobile vehicle to do screen test for Tuberculosis, we contributed a partial purchase of Hemodialysis machines for the hospital in Petchburi. We contributed to a project ‘Silence the Bridges’ supported by RC Konkaen and RCs in Switzerland to help children with hearing problem.

I congratulate all of us who are a part of Disease Prevention and Treatment, we should all be proud of the support and contributions we have given to our local communities.

This month is December, how time flies!  It’s also a month of celebration and holiday season. I would like to thank you all for your supports for this year 2019. I look forward to a wonderful year next year.

Best wishes for Christmas and a very Happy New Year 2020.
