Rotary Education Centre, Nongkhon School
September 2019   THB 1,183,97

The original Nongkhon School is 62 years old and the facilities were no longer deemed suitable for modern learning and prone to flooding in the rainy season.
The school proposed a new building consisting of 3 floors with 15 classrooms at a cost of THB 10 million.

The project was planned over nine phases and currently phase six has been completed with the last three planned by the end of 2019.

The school initially raised THB 3.5 million which left a shortfall of THB 6.5 million.  The Rotary Club Royal Hua Hin entered into a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the school that if they managed to raise a further THB 5.5 million, they would pledge THB 1 million to the project.

As part of the MOU the school would provide one classroom to be used as a Rotary Education Centre where subjects such as English, Physics and Biology would be taught to enhance the level of teaching to the students at the school.

As the school managed to find the THB 5.5 million, the President of RCRHH, Napa Keawtem presented a cheque on Monday 2nd September to the Commissionaire of Education at the school Mr. Theetawut Suksripapat for the promised THB 1 million.
