Our Rotarians met for our first club lunch meeting of Rotary Year 121 on 8 July where we welcomed the medical and marketing professionals from Bangkok Hospital Hua Hin. President-Elect Morten acting as our Sergeant-At-Arms introduced the visiting Rotarians and guests and President Brian updated everyone on our recent community service projects and activities. We also had the pleasure of inducting two new members into our club, Dr. Dheep and Robert.
Dr. Asawin, a.k.a. “Peter” the director of Bangkok Hospital gave an overview on the recent developments at the hospital and Dr. Sawanya shared a lot of insightful information about “Healthy Aging Lifestyles” and how to boost one’s immunity during the rainy season.
Visiting Rotarian Douglas of the Rotary Club of Lochaber in Fort William, Scotland spoke about the activities of their longstanding club which received official charter from Rotary International in 1949. Secretary Erik presented our returning guest Mark with the bottle of wine, and special thanks to our Assistant Governor Aree of Area 17 for contributing as photographer of the day.
