On Friday 20th and Saturday 21st December 2019 the young Rotaractors from Stamford International University under the guidance of Rotary Club Royal Hua Hin Youth Services Chair Benjamas Uamsa-Ard took their ‘All For One and One For All 2’ project to the Baan Nong Pao Pea School in the Sam Roi Yot District Prachuab Khiri Khan.

The school is quite remote and has 72 students from Kindergarten to grade 6 who are mainly from the farming region that covers the area.  There are also six children from Myanmar whose parents work locally.

The School Principal Mrs Patkanok Karnjanathong who has been a teacher at the school for 22 years and became Principal 10 months ago said the school does not receive a big budget because of its location, however she stated the importance of trying to improve the English language levels of the children. The six teachers, one of whom travels from Cha Am, and their support staff run school that sits attractively in the surrounding countryside and needs basic maintenance to improve the look of the buildings and facilities.

Lunch was provided the Rotary Club Royal Hua Hin and served by Rotarians Hanne Haakansson, Eric Poulsen and Phil Lawrence.

Phil Lawrence said ''As a Rotarian I was proud to see the achievements of the Rotaractors over the two days, the happiness they brought to the school and the children and the work put in to improve the aesthetics of the school. Sometimes it does not take a lot of money to bring a lot of happiness to people''.

Over the two days the Rotaractor's provided games for the children, entertained them with their extracts from ‘Frozen’ and during the evening gave them a Christmas party. When the evening was cooler they set to work painting and improving the playground aided by the youngest of students from the school.
