Our meeting began with President Brian’s update of our recent and upcoming community service projects, as well as the summary of our expenditures and donations received for the first three months of this Rotary Year. Some of the projects included our sponsorship of prescription eyeglasses for 40 of the children at Ban Hua Hin Municipal Demonstration School and the handover of personal school supplies, sports equipment and a month’s supply of rice for the 50 children at Ban Nern Payom School in the mountainous region of Bueng Nakhon.
The meeting’s guest speaker was our member Rotarian Chris who presented an overview of his company Adventure Cycling Thailand that provides long-distance bicycle tours throughout Thailand for charitable causes with his partner Ms. Gae and their guided day trips along the Royal Coast of Hua Hin.
Club Secretary President-Elect Erik was duly awarded the Paul Harris Fellow pin for his meritorious service, and it was great to welcome back our Sergeant-At-Arms Past President Paul from his holidays in Switzerland and Past President Jean-Paul back from France. We were also delighted to welcome the International Marketing team of Bangkok Hospital, Ms. Panita and Ms. Woranan, and Rotarian Patrick won the bottle of wine for day.
