Once again, we welcomed the medical professionals from Bangkok Hospital Hua Hin to our club lunch meeting held on 24 February. Our Sergeant At Arms Past President Paul introduced the visiting Rotarians and guests and President Brian gave an overview of our recent and upcoming community service projects and events. He also mentioned that 23 February marked the 121st Anniversary of Rotary International, as the world’s first service organization established in 1905.
Ms. Niranuch Banasanprasit, Director of International Patient Experience presented some of the latest developments at the hospital and Marketing Executive Ms. Panita talked about their ongoing resident privileges and discounts and gave the new resident cards to our club members.
Cardiac Electrophysiologist Dr. Nitinan Chimparlee shared the latest medical information on “When an Irregular Heartbeat Signals Trouble” as well as an individual’s health risk factors and preventative measures to be taken. Dr. Nitinan emphasized, “Because arrhythmia can be silent, annual health check-ups — especially heart screenings — are essential. Detecting it early allows treatment to start immediately, helping prevent serious complications.”
Ms. Panita was the lucky winner of the bottle of wine for the day and visitor Hawk received the special first aid kit from Bangkok Hospital.
Bangkok Hospital Hua Hin has always been a great supporter of our Rotary club and their medical professionals continually present insightful, health-related information at our lunch meetings. They have been a dedicated sponsor for our annual charity golf tournaments and other fundraising events for many years and also provide specialist support for the CPR training in our Children’s Water Safety & Drowning Prevention program. The hospital is renowned for their top-of-the-class physicians providing state-of-the-art medical services and treatments for the stakeholders in Hua Hin.
