We had a very special club lunch meeting where we welcomed the leaders of our two Rotaract club partners to provide updates on their community service projects and fundraising events completed this Rotary year, as well as their upcoming activities for next year.
Our President-Nominee Morten acting as Sergeant-At-Arms opened our “Rotaract Day” meeting and introduced the visiting Rotaractors and guests. President Brian presented our recent community service projects and events as well as the 3-part structure of Rotary:
- Clubs (Rotary, Rotaract and Interact)
- Rotary International (administration and programs)
- The Rotary Foundation (project funding)
Rotaract President Methaporn and Rotaract President Sudarat explained the details of both of their clubs’ activities for underprivileged schools through informative presentations and creative videos, which were impressive and inspiring with the Rotary motto of Service Above Self.
We are the charter sponsor of the Rotaract Club of Stamford International University established in 2016, and have sponsored the Rotaract Club of Rajamangala University of Technology Rattanakosin – Wangklaigangwon Campus since 2022, a longstanding club with their official charter received in 1999.
Rotaract is a university-based service club for students of ages 18 to 30 worldwide, and there are currently 58 Rotaract clubs with 665 members in Thailand.
