Our Rotarians had the pleasure of welcoming District Governor Dr. Chatchawal and Immediate Past President Ratchanee from the Rotary Club of Nakhon Pathom for his annual visit to our club on 8 September. We also welcomed the Assistant Governor of Area 17 Past President Chatchawan of the Rotary Club of Pranburi. It is one of the governor’s many responsibilities to visit every one of the 104 clubs in our Rotary District 3330 for a special meeting to update club members on the district’s activities and collective goals as well as the latest information from Rotary International. Club President Napa introduced DG Dr. Chatchawal to our members with a pictorial overview of his life and activities with Rotary in Thailand as well as abroad.
In the morning before the club meeting, our Board of Directors met separately with DG Dr. Chatchawal to discuss our club’s leadership plan of action for community service projects and other initiatives for this Rotary year. President Napa gave an update on our club’s membership and activities, and our Director of Community Service Projects President-Elect Guenter presented our recent and upcoming projects with the outcomes and impacts. Our Treasurer Albert discussed our club’s current financial report to wrap up the meeting.
Also, members of both of our Rotaract clubs attended a special meeting with DG Dr. Chatchawal, District Rotaract Chair PP Dr. Danai and our board members. In attendance were President Kantira with Faculty Advisor Winnie and members of the Rotaract Club of Rajamangala University of Technology Rattanakosin Wangklaikangwong Campus, and President Natalie with Faculty Advisor Dr. Revita and members of the Rotaract Club of Stamford International University Hua Hin Campus. Both presidents updated DG Chatchawal and the attendees on their recent and upcoming service projects and fundraising events, and everyone was highly impressed with their presentations and plans for this Rotary Year 122.
The Rotaractors have always been an altruistic group of self-motivated individuals with a longstanding reputation of service to the community, and we look forward to our continued collaboration with both clubs for community service.
