The E-Jan School Project should be completed in July this year.  Following the groundbreaking ceremony in May 2022, and the cheque presentation in June of the same year, as part of the Rotary Club of Royal Hua Hin (RCRHH) support for the E-Jan new school project, members of the RCRHH had an opportunity to visit the site of the new school, and see the progress being made.
The visit was primarily aimed at making two new donations to the project. The first from, Rotarian David Troxell and his wife Marissa who are members of the Rotary Club of Jamestown in New York State in the USA.

Sadly, in December 2022 David’s older sister Sharon, who was autistic passed away. Unfortunately, due to the severe weather conditions in America at the time David could not attend the funeral and kindly donated the cost of the airline tickets to this project. This raised 67,780 Thai Baht.

Lizzy Ginsel, founder of the MCC Charity Community (MCC) raised a further 67,780 Thai Baht supported by John Laroche by organising fundraising events in 2022. Both donations were presented to Jan and her team from E-Jan, today the 4th of May 2023.
The project is well ahead of schedule with 90% completed, and the school is due to open in July this year. Most of the classrooms have been completed and tastefully decorated.

Overall, the quality of the building and design, the materials, and the artwork is fantastic, and E-Jan plans to use this school design as a template for future designs for special needs schools.

The next phase of the project will commence shortly to build six houses for the teachers who will work at the school.

A further 500,000 Thai Baht is needed to help the Rotary Club of Royal Hua Hin and our supporters to complete the Audio sensory room and provide the necessary equipment to provide a modern learning environment for children with learning difficulties at the school.
A further fundraising event will be held by E-Jan in conjunction with Carapace in Khao Tao on the 1st and 2nd of July.

Registration for the school event will take place at the school between 12:00hrs and 15:00hrs on the 1st of July. Following this an evening event will be held by E-Jan at the Carapace hotel in Khao Tao with an evening concert.
On the second of July, the Sing To challenge will be held, which is a five-kilometer swim or 13-kilometer kayaking to the Koh Sing To island and back of Koh Tao. Support for this event will be appreciated.

In addition, we would also like to thank our Father club, the Rotary Club of Bangkok South who contributed 100,000 Thai Baht to this project.
