The Rotary Club of Royal Hua Hin sponsored four new crates and 48 reusable food storage containers for the Scholars of Sustenance (SOS) Foundation in Hua Hin on 5 October. The dedicated staff rescue extra food items from local suppliers and distribute them to communities and schools free of charge every day. The containers ensure safe food handling, storage and delivery, and are in service for about one year.
The SOS Foundation recognized our club as a Sustaining Partner for our commitment to advancing food rescue, reducing waste and creating sustainable impact over the years at the SOS Thailand Awards ceremony in Bangkok on 16 October.
Special thanks to SOS and the food suppliers for their unwavering dedication to improving the well-being of the underprivileged and disadvantaged stakeholders in our communities.

The Scholars of Sustenance Foundation is an environmentally-conscious food rescue organization that serves free meals to the underprivileged in Thailand (2016), Indonesia (2017) and most recently the Philippines. SOS currently delivers approximately 16,000 meals every day in Thailand, using high-quality, surplus food rescued through dedicated partnerships with food producers, hotels, grocers and restaurants, to vulnerable communities, orphanages, and shelters. They operate four branches in Thailand; Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Hua Hin and Phuket. SOS has been expanding its reach and is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that was established in the USA in 2014.
