Our members conducted the Donor Recognition ceremony for the much-needed ambulance donated to Hua Hin Hospital with other Rotary clubs and individual donors on 3 September. The new, fully-equipped ambulance cost THB 2.5 million and is a joint project organized by the Rotary Club of Royal Hua Hin with the additional funding of THB 895,000 donated by the Rotary Club of Bangkok South, the Rotary Club of Bangkok, the Rotary Club of Bangkapi, the Rotary Club of Photharam, the Rotary Club of Pra Pathom Chedi, the help4people foundation in Switzerland, and individual donors.
The mayor of Hua Hin Mr. Nopporn Wuttikhul presided over the ceremony with the director of Hua Hin Hospital, Dr. Jittarat Techavutiporn and our President Brian, and over 50 Rotarians and friends including Past District Governor Jutathip Thamsiripong and Past District Governor Paikit Hoonpongsimanont of Rotary International District 3330, and the medical professionals of the hospital present.
The Rotarians and friends later regrouped for an evening of good camaraderie and celebration at our Multi-Club Fellowship Night held at the Monsoon Valley Wine Bar. Dr. Jittarat and Ms. Pronthip of Hua Hin Hospital were both formally inducted as our club’s new corporate members and were given a warm welcome in our traditional club spirit. Special thanks for everyone’s support to make this community service project another life-saving addition to Hua Hin Hospital.
