Rotarians of our Environmental Preservation Sub-committee visited the students of the Hua Hin International School on 8 March, where President Brian gave a presentation entitled Humanity’s Effect on the Environment to about 90 students. The students’ ages seven to 11 years were a lively group and it was inspiring to see them engaged and interactive in a topic vital to the preservation of various ecosystem landscapes.
Everybody was given a durable Rotary shopping bag to use in their daily lives in an effort to help the teachers instill values of sustainability in the kids and avoid the use of plastic bags.

Our Chair of the Community Service Projects Committee President-Elect Napa said, “Our President Brian gave two training sessions for the kids to raise awareness on the global waste issue and promote the use of reusable bags, urging the students to say “No” to plastic bags. All in all, it was excellent day that we launched our Environmental Preservation campaign with more local schools to visit in the future.”
