The Rotary Club of Royal Hua Hin was invited to participate in the signing ceremony for the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on the “Improvement of Living Environments for Vulnerable Groups in Prachuap Khirikhan Province” on 4 February.
Coordinated by the provincial arm of the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, the purpose is to demonstrate the commitment to cooperation among agencies in promoting and supporting vulnerable people who face housing problems, enabling them to live happily, conveniently, appropriately, safely, hygienically, and securely.
It is a joint collaboration of 28 organizations committed to community well-being and sustainable development, comprising the Prachuap Khirikhan Provincial Administration and relevant government agencies, private sector partners, civil society organizations, and other related authorities. The cooperation aims to enhance the quality of life of vulnerable groups in Prachuap Khirikhan and to foster public-mindedness among volunteers and community members, ensuring sustainable collaboration. It also aims to promote and develop volunteerism among probationers under the supervision of the Provincial Probation Office and model prisoners in the provincial prison, fostering a sense of social service while carrying out the repair work on the homes.
The ceremony was presided over by Provincial Governor Dr. Sitthichai Sawatsaen who stated that, “There are still many vulnerable people in Prachuap Khirikhan who face problems with dilapidated, unstable, and unsuitable housing, which directly affects their well-being, health, and safety. Therefore, the provincial authority recognizes the importance of addressing the housing issues of these vulnerable households.”
