The Rotaract Club of Stamford International University conducted their 5th annual “All for One, One for All” community service event for the children living in the remote village of Ban Pamak in the Pala-U Sub-district of Hua Hin on 2-3 February 2024.
On the first day, the Rotaractors divided the children into four groups and they played games at four stations; English Learning, Music, Art and Math. They had a lot of fun and received prizes in the games. They also had sport competitions playing volleyball and chair-ball against the Rotaractors, and the children exhibited great talent and won the matches. The Rotaractors donated badminton equipment, volleyballs and sepak takraw sets to the school, as well as THB 10,000 for much-needed repairs on the Border Patrol Police School building.
On the second day, the Rotaractors worked to fortify the water retention dam on the river to maintain a fresh water supply for the village during the dry season with support from the school children, the Border Patrol Police, the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation officers, and the Department of Provincial Administration officers. The activity was presided over by the Samroiyod Chief District Officer. The Rotary Club of Royal Hua Hin provided lunch for all 160 students according to their menu wishes.
The 2-day event was enjoyable and well organized, and special thanks to our Rotaractors and Rotarian Benjamas, the Director of Student Affairs at Stamford.
