The Rotary Club of Royal Hua Hin welcomed a combined delegation of nine Rotarians visiting from the Rotary Club of Joondalup, the Rotary Club of Nedlands and the Rotary Club of Wanneroo, all based in Perth, West Australia to our club lunch meeting on 12 February. Coordinated by our Rtn Alan Brown the Chairman of the District 3330 ‘Inter Country Committee for Thailand-Australia’, Pres. Eliza Bourgault du Courdray and Pres. Steve Wiltshire co-led the delegation for their respective clubs
In addition to enjoying good friendship and fellowship, Pres. Eliza and Pres. Steve both gave interesting updates on their clubs’ histories, projects and activities, and our President-Elect Napa led the group tour to view our service projects at Ban Nong Khon School.
On behalf of both clubs, PP Charlie Bro presented a kind donation to our club service projects, and banners and gifts were exchanged including a genuine Aussie boomerang from Pres. Eliza. However, official instruction or training were not provided on the proper technique of throwing boomerangs so we are going to have to just ‘wing it’ on the beach with a lot of chasing after involved.
