Our 15th Annual Charity Golf Classic was another great success on 28 November at Pineapple Valley Golf Club. The friendly competition was enjoyed by all as usual and the evening’s gala dinner always turns out to be the culminating highlight every year since our inaugural tournament in 2010.
A total of 29 golf teams participated in the tournament and the top teams this year were IndiSwiss in 1st place, Mixed Nations in 2nd place, and DaNo Thai in 3rd place. The medical professionals of Hua Hin Hospital stood by offering their support with the new Rotary ambulance that we purchased last year.
All the proceeds generated from this year’s tournament are earmarked to help our club purchase much-needed anesthesia technology costing THB 2,550,000 to support the growing demand of lifesaving medical treatment at the Intervention Neuroradiology, Cardiac Catheterization and Thrombectomy Unit of the hospital. This is another one of our joint-projects for humanitarian service involving multiple Rotary clubs and like-minded organizations, and the state-of-the-art equipment will arrive at the hospital this month with a special project handover ceremony on 27 December.
Our 16th Annual Charity Golf Classic has already been scheduled for 27 November next year and we look forward to continuing our longstanding tradition of providing the best day of camaraderie and sport on the greens.
