The TAB college has a Memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Mercuria college in Finland where an online course has been established, a similar course has been set up with the Porta Mosana College in the Netherlands).

The Colleges goals are to help the students develop their English language skills, make new friends abroad, and get to know each other's culture/nature/history/customs/education and overcome their shyness.

For this course we had put together 8 teams of 4 students to work together as a team on 9 assignments (2 students from Thailand combined with 2 students from Finland). The assignments were to be completed in two weeks ranging from introduction to education to cooking to values and more. The topics were presented alternately by the Finnish and Thai teachers.

TAB and Mercuria agreed to let the 3 best teams (6 students from Finland and 6 students from Thailand) visit the other country for a study trip, 2 weeks to learn more about each other's education and culture. The assignments were graded by the Finnish and Thai teachers together.

From the Thai team of six students four of the students’ parents were in a position to support their son and daughters to undertake the exchange trip to Finland, unfortunately two young girl’s families due to financial constraints were unable to help.

The TAB College agreed with our Finnish teachers that we will take care of lodging, local transportation and all the meals for the Finnish students in Thailand and the Finnish teachers will take care of this when our students are in Finland. Students need only to take care of the costs of the international flights and some pocket money while in the other country.

TAB College contacted Rotarian Lizzy through mutual acquaintances, and Lizzy agreed to support these two girls through the Lizzy Educational fund, Lizzy also approached the Rotary Club of Royal Hua Hin with a view to support these girls.
