The Rotary District training event was held at the prestigious Midas Grand Dhavaravat Hotel and Spa in Nakhon Pathom on Saturday 27th June.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic this year’s event was scaled down to Rotary District 3330 areas and on this day the Rotary Club of Royal Hua Hin was joined by RC Hua Hin, RC Pranburi and RC Prachuap Khiri Khan from area 16. Also joining us were area 17,18,19 and 20.
Each event was limited to 200 attendees and full Covid -19 rules were applied in terms of face masks and face shields, individual lunches.

This year’s Rotary theme is “Rotary Opens Opportunities” RI President-Elect Holger Knaack unveiled the 2020-21 Presidential Theme at the Club's Annual International Assembly held in San Diego, Californian January 20, 2020. The theme ‘Rotary Opens Opportunities’, is encouraging Rotarians around the world to seize the many opportunities Rotary offers to enrich their lives and the communities in which they serve.
 
Unfortunately, due to the scaled down event there were no English-speaking trainers and as a the only non-Thai speaker it made life interesting for Phil. 

In the afternoon the main event was the presentation of the badge of office to the incoming Club Presidents for 2020/21 which was duly Received by Brian Anderson from the District Governor Chalermchat Chun-in supported by Phil.
