As part of the Rotary District 3330 District conference weekend, the Presidents of Rotary year 17 2021/22 stopped off en route to Phuket at the Beluga School for life near Khao Lak in Phang Gna Province.
 
President Sukhon Thepnarong of Rotary Club of Phang Gna who has close ties with this school initiated this project.
 
Leading up to the event clubs coordinated with President Sukhon to what their club wanted to donate, these included school uniforms, footwear, sports and other clothing, food and hygiene items. The Rotary club of Royal Hua Hin was humbled to join 63 other Presidents from the 101 clubs in Rotary District 3330.
The Rotary Club of Royal Hua Hin were pleased to donate 5,000 Thai Baht worth of hygiene items, dried goods and other essential commodities.  In addition, 101,000 Thai Baht was presented to the school Director himself a former President of Rotary and the children, to represent the 101 Presidents in the District.
Following the presentation some of the children performed dancing to thank Rotary, and Rotary members proceeded to hand out school uniforms and other clothing.  Lunch of KFC and pizza’s, ice cream and drinks were served to the children by Rotarians.
 
A great cause to help where the Government only provides 20 Baht a day towards the cost of the children.
