Our Rotarians spent the morning with the young students and teachers of Baan Nong Krathing School to hand over our club’s donation of 65 sets of art supplies on 15 June. Each set comprises boxes of crayons and colored pencils, erasers, sharpeners, and A4 paper, to help the children develop their artistic skills in the classroom.
Special thanks to Rotarian Rainer and Ms. Fon for preparing a delicious lunch for everyone and President-Elect / Past President Napa for providing the dessert cakes. The students cleaned up the area after lunch and proceeded to play badminton before the afternoon classes.
Baan Nong Krathing is a small, public school for 63 children in grades 1 to 8 with eight teachers, and located in a remote, undeveloped region of Kui Buri subdistrict with intermittent WIFI connection. It is the same school where we implemented the “Library For Literacy” project as well as the “Giving Opportunities, Creating Smiles for Children" day organized by the Rotaractors and MBA students of Stamford International University – Hua Hin campus on 6 February.
Basic Education & Literacy for all is one of Rotary International’s Seven Areas of Focus.
