In another joint project with the Rotary Club of Bangkok South, we handed over our donation of 13 new manikins for CPR training to hospital director Dr. Jittarat and the medical professionals at Hua Hin Hospital on 27 November. The hospital formerly had 12 manikins and their CPR trainers often teach in groups of 50 people, so our contribution brings it to 25 manikins in total, enabling two trainees per manikin.
The hospital’s aim is to be able to train more people faster by providing greater opportunity for hands-on practice on the manikins during the training sessions. The manikins are used for training basic life support skills, especially mouth-to-mouth resuscitation and chest compressions for adult and student trainees to acquire proper life-saving skills according to international standards.
This project increases the hospital’s ability to conduct lifesaving CPR training for more local organizations as well as the groups of 50 children in our ongoing 3-day water safety and drowning prevention program.
For many years, the Rotary Club of Royal Hua Hin has conducted several meaningful service projects for the hospital and last year we purchased a new, fully equipped ambulance to provide state-of-the-art emergency service for our stakeholders. Next month we will hand over new anesthesia equipment to help meet the growing demand in the Intervention Neuroradiology, Cardiac Catheterization and Thrombectomy Unit of the hospital.
We look forward to continuing our relationship with the hospital for the health and well-being of our community, as we UNITE FOR GOOD in the spirit of Rotary!
