Our Rotarians attended the handover ceremony of a community service project that provided 1,000-liter polyethylene fresh water storage tanks for 60 families in Pala-U Noi of Nong Plub subdistrict on 16 November.
This project was organized by the Brothers and Friends Ride in Peace Group and the Hua Hin Police Department to support the families with water storage especially during times of drought. The Pala-U Noi community is located in a remote, undeveloped area about a 60-minute drive from the Hua Hin city center.
Our club contributed to the joint project of six of the 60 tanks in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Bangkok South, the Rotaract Club of Stamford International University and the Rotaract Club of Rajamangala University of Technology Rattanakosin Wangklaikangwon campus.
The participants gathered together in the morning at the El Toro Loco Bar and caravaned to the village where lunch was served to about 200 children and adults as well as the distribution of rice and other staple food items. Special thanks to everyone involved with this meaningful project for the stakeholders in our region.
