Stamford International University held another exciting “International Charity Night 2024” at Market Village Hua Hin Shopping Mall on 24 January. This annual fundraising event was organized by the Rotaract Club of Stamford and other student groups with support from the Rotary Club of Royal Hua Hin and Market Village Hua Hin. There was a student costume and talent contest with prize-giving under the theme of “Fantasy Masquerade Party” and over 200 esteemed guests attended the event.
The purpose of this event was to raise funds for the Rotaract Club and the University Student Council to carry out their community service activities for the local community, underprivileged students and disadvantaged people as they have been doing since 2016.
On 2-3 February, the Rotaract Club is going to renovate the building of Baan Pa Maak Border Patrol Police School in Pala-U sub-district as they do not have adequate government funding, and also help to build the water retention dam on the river to increase the water supply for the Karen tribe village. Special thanks to our Rotarian Benjamas, the Director of Student Affairs at Stamford for her “Service Above Self” dedication for the night’s event and project.
