The Rotary Club of Royal Hua Hin is delighted and proud to have been an ongoing sponsor showing our commitment to the education and well-being of underprivileged students in rural Cambodia for the last five years. Our annual donation of USD 295 per student covers the tuition, uniforms, classroom supplies, two meals a day, transportation to the school and inclusion in their health programs. The five students under our current sponsorship provided their heartfelt letters and photos and they are doing very well in school.
Special thanks go to our late club member and good friend Past President Hans Eide, the founder of The Cambodia Academy with his vision of providing quality education for the disadvantaged children in the community of Mongkol Borei, Cambodia. Founded in 2004, The Cambodia Academy is a US-based 501c3 charity providing education and hope to more than 300 students and has prepared several hundred students for further high school education and gainful employment.
