Nakornchaisri in the province of Nakhon Pathom is one of the areas that has been badly hit by flooding during the recent rainy season. In particular around the Wat Khae area which has been flooded for nearly two months.
The Rotary Clubs of Nakornchaisri and Banglen Presidents from Rotary Year 117 and 118 banded together to raise funds to provide relief for the people in the area by providing 200 food parcels of essential daily items, bags of rice and drinking water.

This was a very well organised event whereby to ensure the food distribution went to the right people, those in the local community in need were issued with vouchers to be exchanged for the food packages, These food packages were put together and distributed on both land and by boat to those who required support, many of whom were elderly people.  Not a Grab or Food Panda in sight!

Over 70,000 Thai Baht was raised plus donations and rice and drinking water were received from local businesses.

The Rotary Club of Royal Hua Hin were glad to support this event, which also included a further 20 plus Presidents from Rotary year 117 from various clubs in our District.
