The Rotary Club of Royal Hua Hin completed another 3-day session of Children’s Water Safety & Drowning Prevention training for 60 students of Khao Tao School and Nong Kae School on 12 – 14 June. Conducted at the Elder Blossom Community Center, the children ages 12 and 13 years were trained by 23 certified instructors from the Marine Police, Hua Hin Municipality and Bangkok Hospital Hua Hin.
The children learned about floating and rescue techniques and the hospital’s medical professionals also taught CPR to enhance their knowledge and help build confidence around bodies of water. On the final day, certificates and medals were presented to all of the children for their participation.
Special thanks to everyone involved and especially the members of our Water Safety & Drowning Prevention Committee for many days of meticulous planning and preparation to ensure the success of this event as well as three days of fun for the children.
Our next CWSDP training is scheduled for 30 July – 1 August with 60 children ages 12 and 13 from Ban Khao Takiab School and Ban Samorprong School. The instructors taking part are from the Marine Police, Hua Hin Municipality and Hua Hin Hospital.
