Our club carried out another 3-day session of Water Safety & Drowning Prevention training for 50 students of Anuban Hua Hin Ban Nong Khon School on 21-23 May. Conducted at the Navy Phirom Hotel at the beach, the children ages 10 to 12 years were trained by certified instructors from the Pran Buri Marine Police, Hua Hin municipality, Sawang Thammasathan Rescue Foundation and Hua Hin Hospital.
The children learned about floating, swimming and rescue techniques and the hospital’s medical professionals also taught CPR to enhance their knowledge about lifesaving and help build confidence around bodies of water. On the final day, certificates and medals were presented to all of the children for their participation.
New swimsuits were given to 100 students at Nong Khon School on 19 May and our next CWSDP training for another 50 children is scheduled for 28-30 May.
