Our club organized another 3-day session of Water Safety & Drowning Prevention training for 50 students of Anuban Hua Hin Ban Nong Khon School on 28-30 May. Conducted at the Navy Phirom Hotel at the beach, the children ages 10 to 12 years were trained by certified instructors from the Pran Buri Marine Police, Hua Hin municipality, Sawang Thammasathan Rescue Foundation and Hua Hin Hospital.
The children learned about floating, swimming and rescue techniques and the hospital’s medical professionals led the CPR training to enhance their knowledge about lifesaving and help build self-confidence in and around water. On the final day, certificates and medals were presented to all of the children for their participation. New swimsuits are always provided for all of the students as well.
Special thanks to all of the dedicated instructors for their professionalism and many years of experience training and watching over each and every child with expert care embracing the Rotary ideal of Service Above Self.
Thanks again to our Service Projects Director Past President Napa and the members of our CWSDP Committee for many days of meticulous planning and preparation to ensure the success of this training as well as three days of fun for the children for the last three years.
