Our club organized another 3-day session of Water Safety & Drowning Prevention training for 50 students of Anuban Hua Hin Ban Nongkhon School on 2-4 September. Conducted at the Navy Phirom Hotel at the beach, the children ages 10 to 12 years were trained by 14 certified instructors from the Phetkasem Foundation Hua Hin, Hua Hin City Municipality, Hua Hin Hospital and Pran Buri Marine Police. Thanks to Hua Hin Vice-Mayor Ms. Pailin Kongpan for attending the opening ceremony as well as General Manager Mr. Win from Navy Phirom.
The children learned about floating, swimming and rescue techniques and the hospital’s medical professionals led the CPR training to enhance their knowledge about lifesaving and help build self-confidence in and around water. On the final day, certificates and medals were presented to all of the children for their participation.
Special thanks to the dedicated instructors for their professionalism and many years of training experience, as well as the school’s teachers for watching over each and every child with expert care, embracing the Rotary ideal of Service Above Self.
Also, thanks to our Children’s Water Safety & Drowning Prevention Committee and Rotarians for many days of meticulous planning and preparation to ensure the success of this training as well as three days of fun for the children. Now in our club’s fourth Rotary year leading the water safety program, we always provide the children with new swimsuits and refreshments as well.
Helping children to help themselves as we CREATE LASTING IMPACT in the spirit of Rotary!
